Mitt Romney — Who Voted to Remove Trump — Won’t Block Senate Vote on Trump’s SCOTUS Nominee

Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT) — who voted to remove President Donald Trump from office during the impeachment in February — says he will not vote to block Trump’s Supreme Court nominee in the Senate, reports CNN:

I intend to follow the Constitution and precedent in considering the president’s nominee. If the nominee reaches the Senate floor, I intend to vote based upon their qualifications.

Romney also created a new rule out of thin air: “If a nominee reaches the Senate floor then he will vote “based upon their qualifications.”
