Police told a teen not to shovel other people’s snow for money without a permit in Normandy, Missouri.
The teen, Keyshawn Anderson, told KMOV that he was approached twice by a police officer:
I felt like that was unfair, I felt like I wasn’t doing anything wrong,
Charles Shelton defended Anderson, who is his foster son:
I feel like there are other ordinances that are more important that should be addressed verses some young man shoveling snow.
Sgt. Tameika Sanders said the police department has received calls from residents concerned about teens pretending to offer shoveling services, but actually committing theft.
