Minnesota State Police Admit To Slashing Car Tires Belonging To Press, Medics, Protesters

Police officers were filmed slashing tires (belonging to protesters, news crews and medics) in a K-Mart parking lot and on May 30, and on a highway overpass on May 31 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, notes Mother Jones.

After being faced with overwhelming evidence, Minnesota Department of Public Safety spokesman Bruce Gordon admitted to the Minneapolis Star-Tribune that “state patrol troopers strategically deflated tires in order to stop behaviors such as vehicles driving dangerously and at high speeds in and around protesters and law enforcement.”

Gordon made no mention of the tires of news crews and medics being cut.
