Militia Leader Ammon Bundy Vows ‘Physical Defense’ For Those Who Violate Idaho’s Life-Saving Stay-At-Home Order

Anti-government militia leader Ammon Bundy called on Idaho residents to defy a stay-home order enacted by Gov. Brad Little on March 25, which is meant to slow the spread of the deadly coronavirus pandemic.

Bundy — who led an armed 10-day occupation of the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge in Oregon in 2016 — told a meeting in Emmett, Idaho on March 26 that he would organize a group to “surround them and protect” businesses that defy the life-saving order, notes Talking Points Memo:

The right to travel is not theirs to take. The right to assemble is not theirs to take. The right to worship how and when and where we want is not theirs to take… We will also, if necessary, provide a physical defense for you so that you can continue in your rights.

Attendees at the meeting cheered when Bundy mocked the life-saving order state’s order that “gatherings of individuals outside the home are prohibited,” notes the Associated Press:
