Police video footage has surfaced of a police officer beating 13-year-old Da’veon Cieslack in Albion, Michigan on November 24, 2018.
The boy’s grandmother called the police because the child was allegedly acting unruly. The child was handcuffed and placed in the back of a police cruiser, which is where he was beat, reports WDIV.
In the video, Da’veon begged to be released: “I’ll do anything. I’ll even clean up the police cars for you guys. I’ll do anything.”
The boy reportedly started banging his head, so an officer opened the door to stop him. Cieslack tried to get out of the vehicle, but the cop punched him at least seven times.
The Albion Police Department refused to identify the officer, but said “the involved Officer was found to have violated several Department policies which warranted termination of employment.”
Da’veon was charged with resisting and obstruction.
