Michael Cohen Secretly Recorded Conversation With Trump About Paying Off Playboy Model Karen McDougal Over Sexual Affair: Report

President Donald Trump’s former lawyer, Michael Cohen, reportedly recorded a conversation with Trump in September 2016 in which they discussed payments to former Playboy model Karen McDougal who said she had an affair with Trump.

The New York Times notes the FBI seized the recording earlier this year during a raid on Cohen’s office. The Justice Department is investigating Cohen’s involvement in paying women to silence them about Trump ahead of the 2016 election.

McDougal told CNN on March 22 that she began a yearlong sexual affair with the overweight senior in 2006 because he had good posture and charisma (video below).

According to McDougal, she broke off the affair with the racist billionaire because she felt guilty about Trump’s wife, Melania, who had given gave birth to their son Barron.

Rudolph Giuliani, Trump’s personal lawyer, confirmed that Trump discussed the payments with Cohen on the tape, but said the payment was ultimately never made.

Giuliani claimed Trump directed Cohen, that if he were to make a payment, to write a check, instead sending cash, so that the hush money for the adultery could be properly documented.

Cohen’s lawyer, Lanny J. Davis, said, “We have nothing to say on this matter.”

McDougal sold her story about Trump to The National Enquirer for $150,000 during the final months of the presidential campaign, but The National Enquirer killed the story, likely because David J. Pecker, the chairman of The Enquirer’s parent company, is a personal friend of Trump.
