Melania Refuses To Stand When Trump Praises ‘Faith And Family’

UPDATE: Eric Trump is upset that Democrats didn’t stand for his dad’s speech (at the same time Melania did not stand).

First Lady Melania Trump refused to join a standing ovation after President Donald Trump praised “faith and family” during his State of the Union address.

The president said: “In America we know that faith and family, not government and bureaucracy are the the center of American life. The motto is: In God we trust.”

Melania was reportedly “furious” with her husband after the Wall Street Journal reported that Trump’s lawyer, Michael Cohen, paid porn star Stormy Daniels $130,000 in October 2016 to keep silent about hide a 2006 affair with the president, noted The New York Times.

Trump has denied the affair and the payment.

Melania cancelled a planned trip to Davos, Switzerland, withe president, and rode separately from the president to the State of the Union address.
