Megyn Kelly Knew Blackface Was Offensive 2 Years Ago, Her Apology Is Mocked

“TODAY’ show host Megyn Kelly knew at least two years ago that blackface was offensive, but on Oct. 23 she supported white people wearing blackface for Halloween.

Kelly told her audience in on Oct. 24 that she only “learned” blackface was offensive on Oct. 23, notes Mediaite:

Yesterday, I learned. I learned that given the history of blackface being used in awful ways by racists in this country, it is not okay for that to be part of any costume — halloween or otherwise. I have never been a p.c. kind of person. But I do understand the value in being sensitive to our history, particularly on race and ethnicity.

However, in 2016, she wrote a tweet about Pastor Mark Burns when he apologized for posting a cartoon mocking Hillary Clinton in blackface:

Kelly was slammed by “TODAY’ show host Al Roker on Oct. 24, and got mocked on Twitter for her apology in light of her many racist statements in the past on Fox News:
