Madonna Promotes Dr. Stella Immanuel Who Claims to Fight Witchcraft and Cure COVID-19 With Hydroxychloroquine
Madonna lent her support to Dr. Stella Immanuel — a pediatrician in Houston, Texas — who promises “deliverance from family line witchcraft” and claims she has cured/prevented COVID-19 with hydroxychloroquine, which the FDA pulled as a coronavirus treatment in June.
Immanuel has reportedly promoted conspiracy theories about alien DNA and “demon sperm.”
Madonna praised the debunked doctor on Instagram, which has hidden the posting for containing false information, reports HuffPost:
The truth will set us all free! But some people don’t want to hear the truth. Especially the people in power who stand to make money from this long drawn-out search for a vaccine. Which has been proven and has been available for months. They would rather let fear control them and let the rich get richer and the poor and sick get sicker.
Annie Lennox responded by calling Madonna’s claims “dangerous quackery,” notes the Evening Standard:
This is utter madness!!! I can’t believe that you are endorsing this dangerous quackery. Hopefully your site has been hacked and you’re just about to explain it…
