A Los Angeles police officer dragged an unidentified 18-year-old girl off of a subway train after she allegedly refused to remove her feet from the seat.
A witness filmed the officer pulling the teen, Bethany Nava, on to a subway platform where he pushed her against a wall, held her arm behind her back and called for backup, notes RawStory.com.
A second witness, Selina Lechuga, cursed at the officer and accused him of trying to meet his monthly quota for arrests.
More police arrived, and both women were taken into custody.
According to a police spokesperson, Lechuga was charged with battery even though the video shows she did not touch the officer .
Nava was cited for being “loud and boisterous” on the train, even though the original violation was putting her feet on the seat.
