‘Local Kansas Mom’ In Attack Ad Is Top State Republican Official

Alana Roethle identifies herself as a “mom of four” who “cares about keeping our community safe” in an attack ad against Sharice Davids, an openly gay Native American woman running against Republican Rep. Kevin Yoder of Kansas.

However, Roethle fails to mention in the 30-second ad that she has been secretary for the Kansas Republican Party since January 2017, reports Mother Jones.

In the ad, paid for by the Congressional Leadership Fund, Roethle claims that Davids supports “an extreme agenda that would put families at risk.”

Roethle was reportedly an alternate delegate to the 2016 Republican National Convention, that she attended President Donald Trump’s inauguration, none of which is mention in the ad..

The Congressional Leadership Fund says in a press release that Roethle is just a “local Kansas mom discussing why Sharice Davids’ extreme, liberal agenda is too risky for Kansas families.”
