A lifeguard was filmed catching a small shark — with bare hands — on a beach in Long Island, New York, on Aug. 21.
The live shark washed up on shore at Robert Moses Field Two because it was unable to swim through the waves and back out into the ocean, reports WCBS.
A group of lifeguards loaded the shark into the back of a cart and drove it down the beach to release it back into the ocean, away from humans.
