Liberty University Invites Ray Rice, Ex-NFL Star Who Beat Girlfriend, To Speak At Convocation

Liberty University has invited former Baltimore Ravens player Ray Rice to speak at a convocation in December.

Rice made headlines in 2014 when he was caught on a hotel surveillance video beating his then-fiancee Janay Palmer, who now is his wife, notes the Lynchburg News and Advance.

After the video surfaced, Rice was suspended indefinitely and released by the Ravens.

The Liberty Office of Spiritual Development has also invited Corey Lewandowski, who was Trump’s original campaign manager in 2016 and was accused of assaulting a female reporter; David Bossie, a Republican strategist who worked for the Trump campaign; and Tomi Lauren, a conservative pundit who has made racial remarks about black people, reported The Daily Beast.
