White House senior advisor Kellyanne Conway was caught lying about former FBI James Comey during an appearance on “Good Morning America.”
Conway and President Donald Trump have been trying to smear Comey because of his new book that is critical of the president.
ABC News host George Stephanopoulos repeatedly called out Conway on her out for her “alternative facts,” and demanded to know if “the president have any evidence to back up his side of the story.”
Conway falsely claimed that Comey confessed during his Senate testimony that Trump never asked him to drop the investigation into former national security advisor Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn.
Stephanopoulos cut off Conway:
Kellyanne, I have to stop you there. Because that’s not correct either.
Stephanopoulos said Comey testified that no one at the Justice Department asked him to stop the investigation and made no comment about Trump.
He was not asked about the president.
