Karen Pence Falsely Claims Mike Pence Didn’t Know Masks Were Required at Mayo Clinic

Vice President Mike Pence’s wife, Karen Pence, falsely claimed on Fox News that her husband was unaware of the mask requirement at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota, which the vice president visited earlier this week without wearing a mask.

The Mayo Clinic’s mask policy was present on social media and at the facility where Mike met with officials and a coronavirus patient, who were all wearing masks, which is part of the advice set forth by the coronavirus task force that Mike heads. Mike later said he didn’t need to wear a mask because he is tested for the deadly virus regularly.

Karen offered a new excuse for her husband’s failure to follow basic coronavirus safety protocol on “Fox & Friends” where co-host Ainsley Earhardt gave her an easy set-up to respond to:

It was actually after he left Mayo Clinic that he found out that they had a policy of asking everyone to wear a mask. Someone has worked on this whole task force for over two months is not someone who would have done anything to offend anyone or scare anyone. I’m glad that you gave me the opportunity to talk about that.
