Hydroplane racing driver Cal Phipps flipped 360 degrees in high-speed crash during the Albert Lee Appliance Cup on Lake Washington in Seattle on Aug. 5.
Phipps flipped his U-1918 Oberto Beef Jerky boat high into the air in the first lap, causing the race to be temporarily stopped; Phipps was not hurt.
According to the Seattle Times, Tom Thompson was disqualified for not leaving a lane open for Phipps, while Andrew Tate went on to win.
