How to Tell When Your iPhone is Listening or Watching You

The new iPhone iOS 14 allows users to check to see if any app on their phone is listening and/or recording their conversations.

An orange dot now appears in the upper right corner when the microphone or camera app is turned on, notes The Sun.

The iPhone’s Control Centee tells users which app is eavesdropping, so that users can also stop specific apps from doing so, or delete them, unless they are required by Apple.

The tech giant released a statement about the new features:

Privacy is a fundamental human right and at the core of everything we do. hat’s why with iOS 14, we’re giving you more control over the data you share and more transparency into how it’s used.

However, it’s not clear if Apple is still allowing the NSA or other government agencies to spy on iPhone owners.
