A handcuffed defendant ran out of a courtroom and jumped over a second-story railing in Spanish Fork, Utah, on April 30.
Christopher Clay Rudd was supposed to appear in front of a judge when he suddenly made a break for it, while being filmed on courthouse security cameras.
KTVX was utterly confused by Rudd’s attempt to gain freedom, which the station called “some unknown reason.”
Utah court officials said Rudd suffered minor injuries.
Rudd was charged on April 26 on theft and drug-related charges.
