Grandmother, 42, Gives Birth To Her 20th Child In Jerusalem
A 42-year-old grandmother recently gave birth to her 20th child in Hadassah Hospital Ein Kerem in Jerusalem, Israel.
The hospital said that the unidentified ultra-Orthodox woman has spent some 14 years of her life pregnant, notes The Times of Israel.
The grandmother reportedly told a midwife, Aliza Altmark, that she had 18 previous births, one of which was twins; some of the children have had their own children.
Altmark said the grandmother was calm and the labor only took a few hours:
She was very excited about every birth, every child, even the 19th and the 20th. It also gave me a good feeling. She has sons- and daughters-in-law, and of course she has a lot of help at home.
The hospital said the baby boy was born without complications.
