Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) — who is reportedly under federal investigation for a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old girl — humiliated himself during a bizarre interview with Fox News host Tucker Carlson (MORE VIDEO BELOW).
Gaetz began the interview by reminding Carlson that he too has been falsely accused of a “terrible sex act,” which caused Carlson to go into denial mode:
I’m not the only person on screen right now who has been falsely accused of a terrible sex act. You were accused of something you did not do.
Later in the interview, Gaetz said there were fake pictures of himself with a child prostitute that were not real. Carlson was speechless during the revelation:
You know, again, I really saw this as a deeply troubling challenge for my family on March 16th when people were, you know, talking about a minor and that there were pictures of me with child prostitutes. That’s obviously false. There will be no such pictures because no such thing happened. But, really, on March 16th was when this got going from the extortion standpoint.

When asked about his alleged relationship with a 17-year-old girl, Gaetz only said he never took her across state lines, which would be a violation of the Mann Act; the age of consent in Florida is eighteen.

Later, Gaetz claimed that he was the victim.
Gaetz concludes by saying he’s a victim because “I’m a well-known, outspoken conservative, and I guess that’s out of style in a lot of parts of the country right now.” (The investigation of him began when Trump was still in office.) pic.twitter.com/9RwHspQEwX

Carlson described the interview with Gaetz as one of the “weirdest” he has ever done.
