German Chancellor Angela Merkel Posts Stare Down Photo Of G-7 Vs. Trump
German Chancellor Angela Merkel uploaded a photograph on Instagram that shows G-7 Leaders in a tense stare-down moment with President Donald Trump in Quebec, Canada.
Merkel’s caption stated: “Day two of the G7 summit in Canada: spontaneous meeting between two working sessions. #G7Charlevoix.”
National Security Adviser John Bolton and other Trump aides appear to be concerned, notes USA TODAY.
Ironically, Trump has called his relationship with the G-7 leaders “a 10.”
Trump has imposed tariffs on the European Union, Canada and Mexico, which he claimed — without proof — are necessary for “national security.”
Trump attacked Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau after he announced that he will impose retaliatory measures for the tarriffs on July 1, noted CNN (video below).
Based on Justin’s false statements at his news conference, and the fact that Canada is charging massive Tariffs to our U.S. farmers, workers and companies, I have instructed our U.S. Reps not to endorse the Communique as we look at Tariffs on automobiles flooding the U.S. Market!
