Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp, Who Bragged About Reopening His State, Now Warns Of Growing Coronavirus Outbreak

Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp, who bragged about “reopening” his state less than two weeks ago, is now warning residents of a growing coronavirus outbreak in Gainesville, 50 miles northeast of Atlanta.

While touring a temporary medical pod in the southwestern city of Albany, Gov. Kemp broke the bad news, notes the Associated Press:

They’re being stressed pretty hard up there at the moment.

Gov. Kemp said contract medical workers and a temporary medical pod are being assigned the Gainesville area to help patients coming down with the coronavirus.

Gov. Kemp told the Associated Press last week of his plan to stop the virus with testing:

Our goal is to use every single test we’ve got every single day and … try to break the system.
