Republican Gov. Brian Kemp of Georgia is under for a lack of voting machines and very long lines at polls, notes the New York Times.
Georgia residents tweeted videos of their efforts to vote in what many are calling voter suppression and voter fraud by Kemp and the Republicans.
#TheView gop Brian Kemp is doing voter fraud in Georgia again. Trying to suppress votes, we must not let this happen in this country. @realDonaldTrump is always screaming out voter fraud & here we have it right in our country by a Republican governor. These cons must be defeated. pic.twitter.com/rVAFIJ7RgH— UCANTKEEPABLKMANDOWN (@UCANTKEEPABLKM1) June 9, 2020
“This is ridiculous,” says Anita Heard, a 80-year-old who was first in line to vote at 6 this morning and is still waiting to cast her ballot. “Of course,” she says when I ask her if she plans to stay. “I worked for 40 years — where else am I going?” #gapol pic.twitter.com/4Cd8nwagG9— Greg Bluestein (@bluestein) June 9, 2020
