Georgia Fraternity Suspended Over Racist ‘Pick My Cotton’ N-Word Video

The Tau Kappa Epsilon (TKE) fraternity at the University of Georgia has been suspended over a video of a white male member mock beating another white member with a belt while chanting ”pick my cotton, n*gger.” The pretend victim cries, “I’m not black.”

University of Georgia student government leaders announcede suspension in a statement, notes Raw Story:

The executive officers of the Student Government Association are aware of a video circulating on social media that depicts individuals identified as members of a UGA Greek organization using racist language and engaging in behaviors that mock the suffering of enslaved peoples.

We have been notified that the chapter is currently suspended, and we can confirm that there is an investigation underway regarding the students involved in the video.
