Media Matters notes that several Fox News hosts have been fearmongering against using contact tracing — a proven medical effort that helped track and stop smallpox — to help end the deadly COVID-19 virus that has killed over 115,000 Americans.
Tucker Carlson called contact tracing “Chinese style” state surveillance on May 14.
Jeanine Pirro said on April 18, “Don’t you even think about tracing or tracking or giving me a card. It ain’t happening.”
Steve Hilton claimed on April 26 that it is “totally absurd” to suggest that contact tracing will mitigate the spread of coronavirus.
