Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis held a press conference in Orlando, Florida, at the OneBlood blood donation headquarters where he was heckled by protesters for his dishonesty over the COVID-19 pandemic, reports WFTV.
DeSantis played down rising coronavirus cases in June, refused to implement stay-at-home orders in June while the deadly virus spread, falsely claimed going to school (for eight hours) was the same as shopping in Home Depot, falsely claimed that rising COVID-19 cases were only a “blip,” and has been accused of suppressing the true higher numbers of coronavirus more than once.
Florida health officials reported 10,347 new COVID-19 cases on July 20, the sixth straight day of numbers over 10,000. There were also 92 coronavirus- related deaths on July 29.
