St. Lucie County Sheriff Ken Mascara said a deputy, who lifted a middle-school student in the air and body-slammed him on a sidewalk in Fort Pierce, Florida on April 9, did not use excessive force, notes WXYZ.
The student had reportedly been suspended and was waiting for his parents to pick him up when he tried to walk out of the school. That when the officer escalated the situation with violence.
