‘Family Values’ GOP Rep. Trent Franks Resigning Over Inappropriate Behavior: Report
UPDATE: Franks may have wanted to have sex with two of his female staffers in order for him and his wife to have a baby, sources claim.
Republican Rep. Trent Franks of Arizona will reportedly resign from Congress due to inappropriate behavior.
Franks told Roll Call: “We will have a statement a little bit later, but that’s all I can tell you right now. The statement will explain.”
An unidentified Republican operative told Roll Call: “There’s been rumors swirling around him for years, at least in 2012, And if this turns out to be true, there won’t be that many people who are surprised.”
A “family values” politician, Franks voted against Obamacare, is skeptical of proven global warming science, has supported banning abortions at 20 weeks even in cases or rape or incest, and once claimed that “incidents of rape resulting in pregnancy are very low.”
Franks has opposed same-sex marriage, opposed gun safety laws and supported creating a database to monitor American Muslim leaders.
