Evangelicals Furious at Supreme Court Justice John Roberts For Not Allowing Churches to Expose Large Groups of People to Deadly COVID-19 Like Casinos Do
Evangelicals and conservatives are furious at Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts who voted with the majority 5-4 on July 24 to not allow churches in Nevada to have large gatherings — exposing more people to the deadly COVID-19 virus — as casinos and restaurants do.
The New York Times reports that the Calvary Chapel Dayton Valley in Dayton, Nevada, sued the state of Nevada because casinos, restaurants and amusement parks can have up to 50 percent of their fire-code capacities, while houses of worship are limited to 50 people during the contagious coornavirus which has killed over 140,000 Americans in a few months.
Justices Samuel Alito, Clarence Thomas, Brett Kavanaugh and Neil Gorsuch dissented by claiming churches had the same rights as other businesses during a deadly pandemic.
Evangelicals and conservatives took to Twitter to voice their protest against the ruling that will keep churches safer than casinos and restaurants.

But, on the upside, maybe Nevada churches should set up craps tables? Then they could open? https://t.co/6pWoOwg9ts

John Roberts is a disgrace to 'conservatism'

What happened to that judge?
He didn't mention his belief that casinos have more rights than churches. https://t.co/KjpyLbkIMo
John Roberts should be impeached. And George W. Bush is one of the worst presidents of all time.— Steve Deace (@SteveDeaceShow) July 25, 2020
Thanks @realDonaldTrump for appointing Gorsuch. Too bad Chief In-Justice John Roberts is so swamp-infected that he protects casinos & punishes places of worship. He needs to retire, but first he just needs to repent! https://t.co/ZFjyvxTRn6— Gov. Mike Huckabee (@GovMikeHuckabee) July 25, 2020
