Evangelical Leader Franklin Graham Falsely Claims Trump Mob Inside US Capitol Was Antifa
Pro-Trump evangelical leader Franklin Graham falsely claimed to the Religion News Service that the mob of Trump voters who broke into the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6 were actually Antifa (anti-fascists), even though the mob inside the U.S. Capitol were dressed in Trump clothing or waving Trump flags:
They have a right to protest. To tell people to go home, it’s not for me to decide that. The people who broke the windows in the Capital did not look like the people out there demonstrating. Most likely it was antifa. For people busting windows, they need to go home. But for people standing out there peacefully holding flags, and protesting, they have every right to do that.
Trump supporters have confirmed it was indeed their fellow Trump voters who broke into the U.S. Capitol after learning Vice President Mike Pence would not stop stop the confirmation of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.
