Ellen DeGeneres finally broke her public silence on the months-long abuse scandal that has caused three executive producers to be fired from “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.”
Buzzfeed News reported that current and former employees allege there has “‘racism, fear and intimidation” behind the scenes of the show, and that DeGeneres was aware of and contributed to, which she has denied.
The 62-year-old talk show host was walking to her car in Santa Barbara, California, when a paparazzo asked her to comment on the toxicity on her show, notes The Daily Mail.
DeGeneres, wearing a safety mask, grimly responded:
I will be talking to my fans.
Entertainment Tonight reports there are no known plans of how DeGeneres will address the scandal or if she will acknowledge it on her show when it returns for its 18th season on Sept. 14.
