Dr. Oz Offers Non-Apology Apology For Saying Schools Should Open Because ‘Only 2-3 Percent’ of Kids Will Die From Coronavirus

TV show personality Dr. Oz issued released a video in which he said his comments on the risks opening schools confused and upset people (ORIGINAL COMMENTS VIDEO BELOW).

People were outraged when Dr. Oz clearly told Fox News host Sean Hannity on April 15 that, according to an article in the British Journal Lancet, schools should reopen because only “two to three percent” of children could die from the coronavirus:

Schools are a very appetizing opportunity. I just saw a nice piece in The Lancet arguing the opening of schools may only cost us 2 to 3%, in terms of total mortality. Any, you know, any life is a life lost, but … that might be a tradeoff some folks would consider.
