Dr. Anthony Fauci Contradicts Trump During Senate Hearing: Coronavirus Not Going to Just ‘Disappear’

Dr. Anthony Fauci, who is part of the White House coronavirus task force, contradicted President Donald’s Trump’s absurd claim that the coronavirus was somehow going to “disappear.”

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) asked Fauci during a Senate hearing if the coronavirus could return (like the Spanish Flu did) in the fall if “we don’t get our act together.”

Fauci told Sanders that the coronavirus virus would likely return in the fall, “and the reason I say that is that when you talk about, ‘will this virus just disappear,’ … that is just not gonna happen, because it’s such a highly transmissible virus.”

Fauci added: “And even if we get better control over the months, it is likely there will be virus somewhere on this planet that will eventually get back to us.”
