Detroit police officer Gary Steele reportedly posted Snapchat video of police officers gloating at a black woman, Ariel Moore, whom he pulled over for a traffic stop.
Steele pulled over the 23-year-old for having an expired registration, seized the vehicle, told her to exit her car so it could be towed.
She declined a ride home from police and walked a block home in below-freezing weather, notes WXYZ.
One of the officers said she was doing the “walk of shame,” and Steele added emojis that read, “What black girl magic looks like” and “celebrating Black History Month.”
The snapchat video ended with an officer saying, “Bye, Felicia,” reports the Detroit Metro Times.
Moore told WXYZ how shocked she was to see the racist video:
I’ve never had this happen to me in my life. I’m kind of shocked — I don’t really know how to feel right now. I’m still trying to take it in.
