Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe Steps Down After Being Attacked By Trump For Months

FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe is reportedly “stepping aside” after being attacked by the Trump administration and Trump supporters for months (video below).

Sources told NBC News that McCabe will stay on the FBI payroll until he is eligible to retire with full benefits in mid-March.

NBC News notes that McCabe has reportedly been under pressure to quit from Trump, whose campaign is being investigated by the FBI for possible collusion with Russia during the 2016 election.

Additionally, Trump has attacked McCabe in a series of tweets:

How can FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, the man in charge, along with leakin’ James Comey, of the Phony Hillary Clinton investigation (including her 33,000 illegally deleted emails) be given $700,000 for wife’s campaign by Clinton Puppets during investigation?

FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe is racing the clock to retire with full benefits. 90 days to go?!!!

Why didn’t A.G. Sessions replace Acting FBI Director Andrew McCabe, a Comey friend who was in charge of Clinton investigation but got…….big dollars ($700,000) for his wife’s political run from Hillary Clinton and her representatives. Drain the Swamp!

Jordan Sekulow, the son of Trump attorney Jay Sekulow, announced in December 2017 that McCabe “should likely be going to jail. Here’s why. There was some plan put together in his office to either undermine the president if he got elected — so an attempted coup” (video below).

The Washington Post recently reported that Trump asked McCabe in 2017 whom he voted for in the 2016 election.

Sources told The Washington Post that Trump was mad that McCabe’s wife received hundreds of thousand dollars in donations from a political action committee controlled by a close friend of Hillary Clinton when McCabe’s wife was running for the Virginia state Senate in 2015.

McCabe had served at the FBI since 1996 under former directors Robert Mueller and James Comey.
