Covid-Denying, Pro-Trump Pastor Holds Mass Baptism of 1,000 People Without Masks or Social Distancing

Pastor Jack Hibbs of Calvary Chapel Church in Chino Hills, California, held a mass baptism of nearly 1,000 people at Corona Del Mar State Beach in Newport Beach on Sept. 12.

Hibbs, a strong Trump supporter, ignored California safety rules and reopened his church on May 31. Hibbs has also claimed that Christians are under attack by coronavirus safety rules.

In a video uploaded to the Calvary Chapel Church Instagram page, there do not appear be any masks or social distancing at the large event, which included adults and children.

Calvary Chapel Church Director Gina Gleason did not mention the pandemic dangers, but told CBN News: “California may be experiencing a spiritual revival. It’s remarkable and a significant number.”
