COVID-19 Cases Rise in 27 States After Businesses Reopen, Up 111% in Wisconsin
New cases of COVID-19 rose in 27 states in September, as many states reopened businesses. Coronavirus cases rose in Wisconsin by an increase of 111%, according to Reuters.
Republican-run North Dakota, South Dakota, Montana, Utah, West Virginia and Wyoming saw COVID-19 cases increase more than 50%.
Coronavirus cases dropped in California by 50%, followed by Nevada at 49% and Florida at 47%, which recently opened all businesses, including bars and restaurants to operate at full capacity.
Axios reports that “coronavirus infections rose over the past week in half the country” and “New Mexico recorded the biggest spike, at over 50%.”
