Court Blocks Trump Rules That Would Allow Employers Refuse To Cover Employees’ Birth Control

Federal Judge Haywood S. Gilliam of U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California issued a preliminary injunction against the Trump administration rules that would allow employers to refuse to provide birth control insurance coverage under Obamacare, per the employers’ “religious” or “moral” reason.

However, the ruling is not nationwide and only affects the states that sued the Trump administration, notes Law & Crime:

Washington D.C., California, Delaware, Virginia, Maryland, New York, Illinois, Washington, Minnesota, Connecticut, North Carolina, Hawaii, Vermont, and Rhode Island.
