Comedian Blaire Erskine tweeted a parody video in which she pretended to be Sen. Ted Cruz’s (R-TX) spokesperson defending his trip to Mexico while Texas freezes. The video went viral, and apparently she fooled several people on Twitter with her comedy:
Um, yes — Senator Cruz is in Cancun right now, but you know, here at his office we say big whoop. Senator Cruz deserves to relax, unwind, unplug, recharge, you know — like you would a power outlet.
Is this a joke??? https://t.co/XyXH3HSidO— Fernanda Santos (@ByFernandaS) February 18, 2021
The unmitigated gall of this smug little shit. https://t.co/bAYph2wUTs— Jed Shaffer (@StreetsAjed) February 18, 2021
.@tedcruz needs an eat, pray, love moment in the middle of the #TexasBlackout? Seems odd to me, but I'm no expert on Texas politics. Praying for his constituents to survive this horrible crisis. https://t.co/maESlO6Z44— Michael McFaul (@McFaul) February 18, 2021
This is probably the worst statement ever. @SenTedCruz needs to do his job that taxpayers are paying him to do.— DC (@DC96908608) February 18, 2021
The job his constituents elected him to do.
If that's too much to ask for or if that's too hard for him then he needs to resign.
