Christian Band Reunites With Lead Singer After He Hired Hitman To Murder His Wife
The Christian band As I Lay Dying has reunited with their lead singer, Tim Lambesis, who hired a hitman in 2013 to murder his wife.
The Friendly Atheist notes that Lambesis paid an undercover cop $20,000 to knock off his wife.
According to the San Diego Union-Tribune, Lambesis was convicted of felony murder solicitation and sentenced to six years in jail, but got out after two years.
In 2017, Lambesis posted an apology on Facebook:
I do not feel deserving of a second chance and am not asking for anyone’s trust. The way many people feel about me makes sense, and only time will tell if my future actions line up with my remorse, something I pray for every day.
In the last five years, the ripple effect of all my actions has extended further than a written statement can address. Thus, I will continue to apologize in both words and actions moving forward.
As I Lay Dying released a new video on YouTube with Lambesis entitled “My Own Grave,” which has over 1 million views.
The band is planning to perform a concert with the ex-felon in San Diego on June 16.
