Buffalo Cop Slams Handcuffed Man On Floor, Drags Him

A newly-released video shows former Officer Matthew Jaskula pushing a handcuffed man, Shaun Porter, on to a jail floor and dragging him down the hall in May 2016.

WKBW and the Buffalo News sued the city of Buffalo for the video, which the city refused to do for three years, despite Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown promising the release in 2016.

Porter was being processed for alleged assault and trespassing when Jaskula assaulted him. notes the Free Thought Project.

Officers reportedly pulled down Porter’s pants, and slammed his bleeding face into a concrete bench.

Officers reportedly slammed Porter a restraining chair, put a spit mask over his face and rolled him into another cell.

Jaskula pleaded guilty in May 2017 to deprivation of rights, and was sentenced to 18 months in federal prison.
