Bravo Reality Stars Have To Agree Not To Sue Bravo If They Get STDs: Report
Reality TV stars on Bravo reportedly have to sign a contract that says they will not sue the cable channel if they get a sexually transmitted disease during filming.
Sources familiar with the contracts told Page Six that the Bravo contracts warn stars that their co-stars aren’t tested for sexually transmitted diseases.
Bravo refused to comment.
“Vanderpump Rules” star James Kennedy called co-star Jax Taylor a “dirty, dirty boy” on Bravo’s “Watch What Happens Live” in 2015, and added, “It’s called herpes!”
Taylor denied Kennedy’s claim on the social media site Reddit.
ABC-TV reportedly forces the 50 finalists for “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette” to get screened for sexual diseases.
“Jersey Shore” creator SallyAnn Salsano said in 2010 that the show’s producers handed out herpes medication Valtrex “like M&Ms,” noted The Hollywood Reporter.
“Hey kids, it’s time for Valtrex!’ It’s like a herpes nest. They’re all in there mixing it up,” Salsano added.
