Asylum Seekers On U.S.-Mexico Border Are Told The US Is ‘Full’

The Trump administration is reportedly lying to asylum seekers — who wait for days in the hot sun at the U.S.-Mexico border — by telling them that the U.S. is “full.”

The Trump administration does not allow immigrants to cross international bridge iton Brownsville, Texas, because once they set foot on U.S. land they can apply for asylum per U.S.law.

While the Trump administration claims that asylum seekers are trying to enter the U.S.illegally, Democracy Now! traveled to the international bridge and found asylum seekers were “sitting for days on the bridge in the hot, baking sun, them and their children, after being told the United States—the country—was full.”
