Anti-Maskers Demand to Vote at Florida Polling Place, Police Called, But Officials Give In

Four people refused to wear masks while at a polling place inside the Coral Ridge Mall in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on Oct. 16.

Voting officials initially called the police on the group, but Broward County Elections Supervisor Peter Antonacci said it is legal to show up at the polls without a mask (during the COVID-19 pandemic that has killed 210,000 Americans), reports the Miami Herald.

WPLG reports the anti-maskers are “affiliated with the Reopen South Florida group” that “has been lobbying to remove rules meant to stop the spread of COVID-19.”
