Law professor Alan Dershowitz told Fox News host Tucker Carlson on Feb. 14 how it is unconstitutional to use the 25th Amendment of the constitution to remove President Donald Trump from office:
Trying to use the 25th Amendment to try and circumvent the Election is a despicable act of unconstitutional power grabbing.
Trump agreed with Dershowitz’s non-logic, but most of Twitter roasted the law professor:
“Trying to use the 25th Amendment to try and circumvent the Election is a despicable act of unconstitutional power grabbing…which happens in third world countries. You have to obey the law. This is an attack on our system & Constitution.” Alan Dershowitz. @TuckerCarlson— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) February 15, 2019
The admendments are part of the constitution, 1st, 2nd and 25th alike. So the exercise of the 25th amendment is the opposite of unconstitutional.— Walter Shaub (@waltshaub) February 15, 2019
The 25th Amendment is literally part of the Constitution.— Renato Mariotti (@renato_mariotti) February 15, 2019
