48% Of White Evangelicals Support Brett Kavanaugh Even If He Sexually Assaulted Christine Blasey Ford

A new poll by NPR/PBS NewsHour/Marist found that 48 percent of white evangelical Christians believe that Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh should be confirmed to the Supreme Court even if he did sexually assault Dr. Christine Blasey Ford.

Only 36 percent of white evangelical Christians said this felony crime would disqualify Kavanaugh, while 16% were not sure.

Jerry Falwell Jr., president of the evangelical Liberty University, sent 300 women Liberty students to Washington D.C. to support Kavanaugh during the Senate confirmation hearings.

Evangelist Franklin Graham has expressed support for Kavanaugh, and pretended that he was present at the incident on the Christian Broadcasting Network: “She said no and he respected it and walked away.”

However, Kavanaugh claims he was not even present at the party where the alleged incident happened.
