Twenty-nine people caught the COVID-19 virus while attending a funeral in northern Minnesota in Mid-July.
One of the mourners, Kathleen Keen, told WCCO that people wore masks and socially distanced during the funeral service, but then removed their masks for the social hour:
It was in this fellowship hall and I remember looking at the windows and wishing I could open them. Like, “This is not good that everyone is packed together in this room.” I don’t regret making the choice to be there for my friend. I wish this virus wasn’t happening.
