13 Basketball Players Suspended After Wild Brawl

The International Basketball Federation (FIBA) suspended 10 Phillipino players for 35 games and three Australian players for nine games after a wild brawl during a World Cup qualifying game on July 2 at the Philippine Arena in Manila.

The Philippines’ assistant coach Joseph Uichico was suspended for three games for for unsportsmanlike behavior, and head coach Vincent ‘Chot’ Reyes was suspended for one game and fined.

The Philippines federation was ordered to pay $249,500 in fines  while the Australian federation was fined $99,800, notes RT.com.
